The 2026 Gnu Something Gnu is a throwback to when Gnu created the innovative carving board (complete with fins). They were credited by TWS mag for creating carving sidecuts intended to be able to handle the steep resort hardpack. Drawing inspiration from Mike Olson's designs in the early '80s, Gnu incorporates four decades of board-building expertise into its approach of the Something Gnu.
The finely tuned progressive sidecuts enable forgiving turn entries and offer fin-like traction in the tail for deep, powerful carving on hardpack and ice. A lengthy, smooth nose entry effortlessly glides through powder on special days, while the swallow tail and taper enhance control and buoyancy. The directional C2 contour seamlessly complements the tip and entry sidecut for easy turn initiation, and the compact, shorter camber in the tail provides added stability for dynamic resort power carving.
