This is a DCW Dining Side Chair, initially designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1946. This particular chair was manufactured ca. 1952 in the United States by Herman Miller.
The design features a molded plywood construction, having the classic curved seat and back. This chair is made with a walnut frame, and it is upholstered in Slunk Skin.
This chair measures 19.25 inches deep, 20.5 inches wide, and 29 inches high, with a seat height of 17.5 inches. The piece clearly shows signs of age and use. The fabric is tearing apart, there are scratches on the back of the chair, and scrapings and blemishes are on the legs.
We have intentionally left the piece in its as-found condition as to showcase its history. Please see photos.
