• Details:  An absolutely gorgeous antique, this decorative bowl was made by the highly regarded factory of Bauer & Pfeiffer.  It has a hand painted bright orange tulip with other flowers in yellow and purple. The bowl is pierced / reticulated to look like woven wicker or a trellis, with lots of gold accents.  It has the B&P mark dating it between 1904 - 1934.  This is fine German porcelain bowl, anywhere from 90 to 120 years old, a true treasure to own or offer as a gift and it's in excellent condition!

Wuerttembergische Porzellanmanufaktur Bauer & Pfeiffer was started in the city of Schorndorf in 1904 by C.M. Bauer and Pfeiffer.  Originally they made coffee and tea sets as well as dinnerware, later expanding to hotel porcelain which became very successful.  Unfortunately C.M. Bauer passed away in 1905, never to see their success fully developed.  In 1917 they became a stock corporation.  B&P enjoyed great success for many years but unfortunately, they ran into financial problems, by 1934 they had closed.
